Klayton Carroll founded Ready. Player. Win. to bring mental performance skills to young athletes. Klayton has worked with student athletes across all sports from lacrosse to hockey, soccer, football, and more.
Klayton has a lifetime of experience with training, coaching, and mental performance. He is committed to making a difference in the lives of young athletes, coaches, parents, and business professionals.
Klayton is originally from Maryland. He grew up just outside of Baltimore with a large extended family that loved spending time together. Growing up, sports were his main focus. He played in every sport he could throughout high school, in particular lacrosse as Maryland is the lacrosse capital of the world. After high school, he joined the Air Force. He then proceeded to go to Bozeman, MT where he attended Montana State University. He majored in psychology and worked towards a minor in coaching. During college, he started coaching youth and high school soccer and lacrosse. He was the founder and president of the first youth lacrosse league in Montana in 2002 and was also one of the founding members of the MSU men’s lacrosse team.
After college, Klayton joined the US Army where he flew Apache helicopters. After the US Army, he then decided to become a Sheriff’s Deputy. During his time as Sheriff’s Deputy, he completed his Masters Degree in psychology. Once he completed his degree, he moved back up to Sidney, MT where he learned how to run the family restaurant and became an entrepreneur.

Completed a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Psychology
Taken courses in anatomy/physiology, kinesiology, human nutrition, sports nutrition, basic and advanced concepts in coaching, sports ethics, sports psychology, and many more psychology courses
Started as a volleyball referee at 16
Started coaching sports at the age of 16 including youth soccer, youth lacrosse, high school soccer, high school lacrosse, and college lacrosse
Was a fitness/mental performance coach for ice hockey
Currently certified as a Westside Barbell powerlifting coach
Received certification as an ACE personal trainer in 2002
Received certification as a NASM personal trainer in 2018
Founder and president the first youth lacrosse league in Montana in 2002
Played college lacrosse as a defenseman, was captain of the defensive team his senior year, and received honorable mention all-american accolades
Attended many coaching clinics for soccer, hockey, and lacrosse from each sport’s governing body
Completed Army flight school
Received many trainings on stress management and coping mechanisms for maintaining calm during high stress events
Became an Army Combatives instructor
Attended multiple firearm instructor trainings
Completed Law Enforcement Officer training and SWAT Sniper school
Attended many performance psychology seminars and summits
Began writing sports performance psychology book
